Community Belonging & Advocacy Chair – Little Locals Fund
(a.k.a. The Bridge Builder & Barrier Buster)
Do you believe everyone deserves to belong and to be heard? The Little Locals Fund is looking for a Community Belonging & Advocacy Chair who can help us build stronger connections, amplify family voices, and ensure our programs and spaces are welcoming for all.
What you’ll do (officially):
- Strengthen relationships with community partners, organizations, and local leaders.
- Represent the Little Locals Fund at events, gatherings, and conversations that matter.
- Review programs, events, and spaces to make sure they’re accessible and inclusive.
- Lead advocacy efforts that amplify the needs of families and children.
- Bring diverse voices to the table and help us act on what we hear.
What you’ll really do (unofficially):
- Be our community’s hype human and compass for inclusion.
- Spot opportunities where our voice can make a difference.
- Ask the tough-but-important questions: “Who’s missing? How do we include them?”
- Celebrate the richness of families, volunteers, and community stories.
Who you are:
- Outgoing, approachable, and a natural connector.
- Passionate about equity, accessibility, and advocacy.
- Comfortable representing a cause in conversations big or small.
- Someone who believes communities are stronger when everyone belongs and speaks up.
