Do you believe families know best what they need — and that our job is to listen and act? The Little Locals Fund is looking for a Family Voice & Essentials Advocacy Chair who can lift up parent perspectives, spotlight gaps in services, and ensure families get access to the essentials that make life a little easier.

What you’ll do (officially):

• Represent family and parent voices at the board table.
   
• Gather and share feedback on what essentials families need most.
   
• Identify gaps in local social services and supports.
   
• Communicate these needs to guide programs, advocacy, and partnerships.
   
• Build connections with service providers and community partners.
   

What you’ll really do (unofficially):

• Be the trusted “megaphone” for parents and caregivers.
   
• Shine a light on where families are slipping through the cracks.
   
• Help turn family stories into action and impact.
   
• Remind us that every stroller, diaper, and support service matters.
   

Who you are:

• A strong listener with empathy and compassion.
   
• Connected to parents, families, and/or community life.
   
• Comfortable speaking up on behalf of others.
   
• Someone who believes families deserve dignity, essentials, and a voice.
